爬行比賽進行中，看終點線的父母使出各種方法，要讓小小朋友快快的拿到第一名。有人拿最愛的玩具或是零食，也有人高聲呼叫小朋友名字。隨歲月流轉,孩子轉眼成長,父母也白了頭。惟一不變的是那個祝福: 袛要是人，都想飛高看遠；是父母的，莫不希望自己的孩子，能成材。孩子們，加油！

The evil book behind every dictatorship: The Prince
This world is a dangerous one and, remember, power is the most important thing. Without it, you will be subjected to other people's wants and wanton whims. To hold power, it is necessary to be a realist and an actor. A realist recognizes what is presented and what is painted; an actor can project an image that helps him/her to achieve his/her goals.

自己找的書,比較有趣--閱讀 Galileo Galilei
在一連串的問與答後,找到了一張書單;單上列出的書,其中一本是 Galileo Galilei: Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems . 書名中第一個字 Dialogue ,其基本意義就是兩個人的對話,此外還有被延伸,運用在戲劇和文學作品上;這種文學形式源頭甚早就被人類所使用,最早可回溯到古希臘。也許是因為＂對話＂本身是溝通表達的第一步,它是容易讓人親近的。建構在這最基礎的表達方式上,則是伽利略這位科學家化繁為簡的精妙文筆...(未完成)........其實,他的書,要由上下文來看的話,引人注意的是他勇於挑戰權威(由教廷所主張的天動說),以客觀証劇來建立論點.....也為後來的人建立一個好樣本。

炎炎夏日 懶人食譜:
一袋地瓜 85元 三條菜瓜50元 茭白筍X 12支 120元
黃肉地瓜先丟入電鍋蒸,放涼後,放在冰箱冷涷庫,食用前拿出解凍---早餐
菜瓜,去皮切片後,炒....(不知多久/軟熟就可)...加入麵條,再煮熟---中餐
茭白筍,水煮開後,丟入,悶熟----晚餐
ps. 這比煮碗泡麵等級還要高一丁點兒。

A faraway swimming pool
小朋友和她娘說，想學游泳....這並不是什麼很大的要求;袛不過,住家方圓15公里附近,沒一座較俱規模的游泳池。若是弄一個塑膠充氣泳池，池小水淺，好像也不能教小朋友學游泳，也是浪費水。找了座有教學課程的游池，開車半個小時帶姐姐去上課；我們家大姐姐很高興，有那麼一大片水池可玩，教練也有方法來帶小朋友邊玩邊學。真希望住家附近也有管理較佳／水質也好的游池可供選擇。星期六, 5月 28, 2011

Parents are especially angry because they purchased nutrient supplements for kid out of love, but only to find their kids' health irreversibly damaged. The government is a total disappointment in this nation-wide scandal; when a lab technitian detected this abnormal presence of prohibited chemicals, the health authority didn't respond immediately. Instead, it withheld this piece of information for more than 1 month, and subsequent responses failed to convince people that the government is here with people, or for people's rights and interests.

Tomato and Tax Season
More and more neighbors have decided to utilize their small path of garden to the fullest. Herbs, common veges, and fruits have been the favorite choice now instead of the old-school flowers. So much for the tax season.

我在一 九四九年五月踏上台灣寶島，七月，澎湖即發生「山東流亡學校煙台聯合中學匪諜」冤案，那是對我的當頭棒喝，也是對所有的外省人一個下馬威。當年中共席捲大 陸，人心浮動，蔣介石總統自稱「我無死所」，國民政府能在台灣立定腳跟，靠兩件大案殺開一條血路，一件「二二八」事件懾伏了本省人，另一件煙台聯合中學冤 案懾伏了外省人，就這個意義來說，兩案可以相提並論。

派軍隊"清鄉"向來都是軍閥整肅統治區反抗事件的工具,二二八不是台灣才有。國民黨在大陸各地各省,對反抗事件的回應,就是派軍隊下鄉"抓人"--以刀槍和人民的血淚來立威。這也是為什麼,國民黨那麼快速的失去民心,丟掉大陸。

陸一特
在高登島上,精通據點火炮槍械的是一群老兵。他們是陸軍第一特種兵。剛到島上時,是這群老兵教我熟悉島上的環境,如何操作30/50機槍來實施驅離射擊,如何善用坑道的泉水燒開水給全據點弟兄,在伸手不見五指漆墨夜色中和狗兒一起站衛兵,提防對岸的水鬼摸上來。那時島上天天都是構築工事--挖坑道,興建新的岸哨據點;構工休息時,聽到這些老兵談論退伍後要如何大展長才。台灣家鄉的父母,那等待許久的女朋友和一個自由的天空,都是支撐大伙兒向前再邁進一步的動力。"去你的主義領袖責任榮譽國家,平安退伍回家才是真的",這句話在日子難過時--在馬祖冬天刺骨寒風中,波濤波濤洶湧海灘上扛一包包沈重資材上岸時;在執行那些永無盡頭的演習中--老兵們特愛掛在嘴上。
點綴島上黃土坡地上是反空降與固守海岸線如的高大瓊麻、帶尖扎人的南國薊和不能入藥的野當歸,更多的是造林時種上的相思樹和苦楝--除了日常的衛哨訓練和運補勤務,高登島上,人人都還認養數十株樹苗。長官有令,這是特地由台灣運來造林的,可要細心照顧了。樹苗上都要掛上個小牌子,寫上名字,以示負責的。這樹苗旁還必須圍上一圈由芒草桿加鐡線編成的圈欄,因為冬天刮著有如刀割,連人都受不了的東北季風。每天傍晚將當天使用過數回,由清澈變濁黃的水,仔細的澆在每人認養的樹苗上。三五個月後,相思、苦楝慢慢長高,抬頭望眼看去,那滿山遍野,儘是對故鄉的相思和回不了家的愁苦。
那一年冬天,野當歸的白花遍地開,謠指部的傳聞也成真: 國防部來了一紙命令,要一群梯數少於陸一特,又僅服役一年十個月的同伴,立刻打包退伍回家。有人歡天喜地的,因為馬上要回家了,而那些還有半年多的陸一特,卻被要求服完三年的兵役......那幾天晚上,高登島上傳出許多自裁意外--其中一個陸一特是我認識的人--他人長的瘦瘦黑黑的中等身材,脾氣好,臉上總是有笑容,總是鼓勵著大伙兒,期待著回家的日子--那天晚上,他拿了包不曉得那來的老鼠藥,吞了下肚。全連弟兄在隔天早上聽到這消息時,每個人的臉上的表情是那種很恨又很不甘心的表情....特別是他的同梯好弟兄們....

cold cold cold
搭上最近的流行感冒,工作告一段落,下班後想到診所拿藥,門外就看到人山人海的一群男女老少,全都在等著醫師診斷--個個流鼻水,咳呀咳的。家中二個小朋友,前陣子有打預防疫苗,身體反應還算好。診所外又有寒流要來,今年冬天,真是冷哦。

打算在春節前,更換衛浴廚房內維修多次或用不順手的設備-列了清單,也上網估價,其中有個網站http://fix.housefun.com.tw/ 詳細的將各項問題分門別類,提供影片示範如何處理家中的修繕問題。左側的產品,是在特力屋,推銷員手上買的<多益得水垢鏽斑清洗劑>。效果很好－浴厠內累積很久,化學系的清潔劑清不乾淨的黃垢,五分鐘內清潔溜溜,還浴室厠所原來乾淨面目。更棒的是,這種清洗劑沒有化學清潔劑的嗆鼻氣味和危險性。無論是平時的清掃或年終大掃除,它絶對是個好幫手。

Strawberry season
The weather is getting colder and strawberries are just in season. A neighbor sent his daughter to share this news: their first harvest was ready. Joy and Lisa, our daughters, got to share their happiness and the fresh taste of this year's strawberry - not from the supermarket, but from our very own small gardens.
This tiny patch of strawberries has been a daily topic of our family talk. Our kids, especially the elder one, enjoys watching flowers coming into red strawberries. That berry from our neighbor's kept her smiling all afternoon. Soon, it will be our turn to bring fresh berries to visit our neighbors.

Retro: It's Monday morning
On this wall, there is this painting, 'Monday Morning.' In this picture, there are travelers, on saddles, beside beasts of burden, next to a well, all readying themselves for the journey ahead. In the background is a murky blend of dimly-lit sky, fading stars and a vast dessert. Although everything seems hazy and unsure, there is something inexplicable shinning in the faces of these travelers, something all living needs, besides a map and a prayer, to carry out a day's pursuit. This little charity drive
It is the day before Christmas, and students in the classroom respond to that charity call inside their textbook, Unit 02, The Chain of Love. Each of them not only has learned a touching lesson, but also decided to give their best wishes to help those in need. So happy to see kids share with others; after all, it is the spirit of Christmas.

草莓＋蚯蚓
難得的假日，有機會將房裏雜物、心裏的雜事來整理清理。天氣變冷了，衣櫃的短衣收入箱子，換上適合冬天的排列組合。跑了趟萬和宮旁的種子行，帶回二包培植土和小朋友愛的草莓植株；有幾位社區內的爸爸們表示，在家門前種二排草莓，可比全家人開車塞在往大湖的路上值得。也順便按著網路上的教學步驟，把家裏淘汰的大垃圾箱重新整理，變成蚯蚓的家。 它應該可以消化菜葉、果皮廚餘或是冰箱內過期的水果。

好物分享: 高雄橋邊鵝油香蔥
每到晚餐時刻,常會上演一齣-媽媽和家裏的小朋友一個追一個跑的吃(餵)飯的戲碼。這景像可能對許多爸媽來說,都不陌生。不過,有一回在別人推薦下買了鵝油油蔥酥。嘿!媽媽在熱騰騰的白飯上加上一小匙鵝油油蔥酥,再淋上點醬油,真是香噴噴;然後,偶們家那位小朋友居然自動跑來餐桌旁主動開口咧!就這麼簡單地用鵝油和醬油拌白飯,也能讓孩子吃的開心,真是料想不到。和天下父母分享。點選上頭照片會到賣家的網址（台中也有賣,而且距離不遠)。

"Spartacus: Blood and Sand"
You won't realize that you're so blood-thirsty until you find yourself hooked to this TV drama, one episode after another. Blood and nudity aside, the plot is full of intriguing schemes and interlocking scenes also make viewing a sensational experience.

永春東路上的日系超商＜裕毛屋＞，裏頭有個<楓葉亭>專賣定食丼和拉麵。店內菜單上的日式家常料理，有些高級日式料理店還沒這家店道地。每回發薪後，帶家中老小去打牙祭，總會點一碗價格平實，料好味美的雞汁烏龍。點餐後，廚房現做，新鮮味美又熱騰騰；小朋友總愛吃香噴噴的蒸蛋，媽媽喜歡它的套餐和熟食區的多樣日式小菜。可惜，因為超巿的土地是租來的，它袛營業到8月15日。
今年的電子郵件交換計劃
事前找了幾個網站，先試用介面，來確定學生使用的方便性。挑中的 www.interpals.net 是免費的，註冊的步驟也算是不難，就決定它當這回上課的平台。計劃當然趕不上變化－電腦教室的預定／教室內的示範廣播系統都是變數，不過，最大的挫折來自課程進行中－網站主機限制使用者數（僅允許２個帳號同時登錄）。當下改成＜自我介紹＞的書寫和範例的搜集。
Looked through some relevant websites and tried out their user interface beforehand. This step was to ensure that students wouldn't get entangled and unnecessarily frustrated in the registration process. One possible candidate platform was http://www.interpals.net/ because it is free, and requires a relatively easy signing up process. Sure enough, planning is never adequate for changes - making sure that certain computer classrooms were available and handling now different computer broadcasting software. During the first stage, one obstacle surfaced and it was from an unforeseen item - this particular website would only allow two user accounts from one IP address. Had to change plan midstream. Plan B - how to use World to write a better self-intro and collective five excellent examples - came in handy.

Old songs last
Along the way, "Famous Blue Raincoat" has been one of my favorite music album. The combination of Jennifer's passionate voice with Leonard Cohen's poetic lyrics is superb. Thanks to the Internet, the once-baffling lyrics have been deciphered one by one from those who adore this piece of art. You got the Joker, you said. Maybe you will find some consolation here in this album.

The day we put away differences
was a day when our national baseball team fought their way up against formidable foes in international baseball games. Blue and green mixed together to support one goal: winning the baseball game for our country. This will explain why many people feel very frustrated to see young star players indicted for their long-term involvement in underground sports gambling.

北上公差
這回的教學研習沒在中部辦，選了北部的場次；一早就搭車上台北，板橋新車站內是全新的內裝和動線，和之前老車站截然不同；早晨八點的陽光中，通勤族們加快腳步奔向各方，是朝氣十足的車站。
轉搭公車時，還遇到舊識－也是出公差（她是科內召集人）。這回研討會的內容，全是用心準備的，沒人袛是上台唸唸稿子交差了事；資訊內容也蠻新的 peer conferencing/ techniques involved in raising learners' awareness towards certain aspects in writing. 學了不少可以分享的好方法和新鮮的程序組合。
先前曾在台北工作過一段時間，中央圖書館內的多樣服務是我的最愛；但深深覺得台北不適合成家、養孩子，因為台北的生活步調又急又快，忙完一天後是很空洞的疲累。現在，會議結束，在回台中路上幫家裏的人帶了些她們愛吃的 croissant 和三明治。台北，拜拜，我要回家了。
