Notes from 1999: Happy Father's Day

Sometimes I wonder,
How could one be,
So resigned to a harsh fate,
Dear God designed;
Please do not deny,
You faithful knight,
Tending the family,
Day and night,
Rain or shine.

From Breakfast to Dinner,
You're a serving tomato,
Making us a healthy tomorrow.
From Monday to Sunday,
You're a superman Dad,
meeting every inconsiderate demand;
From Spring to Winter,
You're the ultimate talisman,
Warding off omen and ailment.

Time has no respect,
For diligent parents,
Gray hair and wrinkles
Now are so apparent.

Though sometimes,
You're Quixotic Knight,
Always and forever,
A certain paradigm remain;
Here and now is a vow,
A pompous son I shall resign,
And a diligent apprentice now;
Today, no commercial today,
Please listen to the accolade:
"Happy Father's Day!"
