慈母多敗兒

今天天氣好, 傍晚夜騎 22 公里完成--出門前接了通公務電話,話來畫去的,為的是那個＜考試不考＋上課猛看小說＋又講不聽叫不動罵不得 precious媽寶＞想再靠特別優待要我的簽名,集滿點數拿到一張証書。學校又不是 7-11,花錢集點數咧! 真嘔！教訓輔的合作變成各自獨立作業,更別提那插花二年多的圖書館義工証。掛電話後,其實心情有點激動起伏。

學校的教育功能並非萬能(很多老師在人本基金會的作為下,在強勢又護兒心切的家長要求下,態度均由全然的投入變成明哲保身的不再雞婆)....家庭中家長的陪伴和指導/身教和言教永遠無法被學校取代,再多的錢和藉口都無法幫孩子成材,袛有花時間和孩子慢慢磨慢慢教,家長的言行和教誨會慢慢轉化成孩子的處事態度;第一是態度,第二是態度,第三還是態度,是我等下一代成功(或失敗)的關鍵。

恰好頂樓教室旁最近剛鋪上綠草皮來降低日曬溫度,學校屋頂也裝設太陽能面板,惠小門口也有風力發電機,也指出來給學生作寫作補充。也開始騎車上下班;因為馬路兩旁很多違規停車或佔用,在車陣中必須很小心騎,也要提早出門。平時騎機車沒發現,騎上車才想起...上班路線全是緩上坡.....

　　Shared a typical and politically correct title "How to Save Energy" in today's compo class. Several patches of grass and green plants had been installed on nearby rooftops and used them in this practice. Also promoted the idea of buying local food produce instead of getting imported items. Alternative energy sources - solar panels, wind turbines on nearby building tops were pointed out.

今天跟咱家兩個女兒說,以後嫁人後,若她們老公正在別人前大大地吹噓上回去釣到的大魚有多大(雙手一整個平伸),千萬千萬別立刻打斷這男人的"吹噓",又舉出食指和大拇指,強調這才不是那回事,那"拉上岸"的也袛不過"小魚"一隻,而你,這個"剩一張嘴"男的太太,才是"事實"的擁護者那種態度和高度啦.......(常被拆台的老公)

that darn, high, suffocating humidity

Summer is here and so is that darn, high, suffocating humidity. 熱熱熱....可是辦公室後座的外國老師卻說,和加州比起來,台灣一點都不熱....是太濕太悶了...那個濕度顯示居然到66%啦....教室兩旁上層氣窗(應有可開可關的設計),當初因為經費不足,結果全用玻璃封上...教室內温度和濕度反而比外頭高呀.....最好的比喻是家電用品中利用熱風+溫度的旋風烤爐!!!!之前沒有裝冷氣,上課,對前面嘮叨的和下頭的,可是十足十的夏日蒸汽浴.....這種變來變去的天氣,唯有下班後外出運動,才能解開那一整天累積下來的悶呀....

For the past five days, have been receiving calls from different cell numbers. Won't call back because these numbers probably come from the same schemer who wish to profit from people's calling back. These telephone fraud cases sever connections and trust that exist in people. These perpetrators ought to be put into prison.

假如我是公司老板,新進人員的訓練中,一定會加入這麼一段:
I would put in this in the training of new recruits, if I were in charge of a company.

讓受訓人員當消費者,指令是要完成退換一件貨品, 過程: 給她/他不同的退換貨電話和一堆擁有"其實這不干我事/不是我的球"的sales,總機小姐和搞不定貨品收件地址的收件駕駛。然後在完成退換貨和程序後,再加入相互衝突的電話通知/簡訊/email,使受測者完完全全搞混,無法得知貨品是否已完成退換貨...(當然,要加入焦慮因子: 限時完成或處罰等等來模擬實況)....

These trainees will complete the process of returning a commodity to its original seller. During the process, s/he will be given different phone numbers to call and answered by those who would mislead them with wrong addresses and refund procedures. Once s/he completes the phone calls, trainers will give them conflicting text messages and emails to confuse these trainees. Factors such as time limits and penalties are given and constantly mentioned so as to create the anxiety experienced by customers in the real process.

目的: 這能使新進人員體驗消費者的處境和心情,將客服的程次,由外顯的口號和微笑,內化成真誠的服務和關心 (當然,這群新人通過這程序後,有人心中也會冒出疑問: 靠! 這根本就是公司制度/規模的問題,干我什麼事呀! 人家有錢有規模的,就指定單一客服,單一案號,一直到case結案為止; 我們公司小,賣貨的/製造的/出貨的/送貨的,全都是不同的公司,誰那麼牛,可以打通全脈呀!)

This is done to help new recruits to learn and internalize what a customer will go through in such a situation. Hence cultivate sincere care and service in their heart, transforming superficial slogans into real, authentic concerns for customers.

PS.在一天的課程結束後,還記得所有來電者的名字,又能劃出子母公司上下和交貨橫向關係圖的,可以送到會計室深造。 而那個臉上始終笑瞇瞇，口氣婉轉客氣毫無變化的，適合當客服。 那個很明顯什麼都沒記住，卻又能掰的頭頭是道，厚臉皮到極至的，絕對是跑業務打廣告的料。

When a day's course comes to an end, the one who still remembers all callers' numbers, and is able to draw a diagram to indicate the hierarchical structures of the companies involved, should be sent to the accounting apartment. This article is not to compare this NT$ 6,000 children's e-reader to a NT$ 20,000 tablet computer. 這個電子書包在2011上巿時, 標價超過 NT$ 12,500大洋, 一年後以分期方式買下後. 發現它有許多好用的功能,也發現它的使用上的一些限制。以下詳敍之：

這個電子書包,在生產公司的展示攤位上,有標示出<國中小學習電子書,前期產品實驗計劃>,算是一針見血的點出這個兒童平板的"實驗"性質。可能以後還會有第二代第三代的產品出現,能避開某些缺點--

　　　　1) 面板的顯示內容,在戶外日光中,幾乎無法閱讀
　　　　2) 無法下載新的程式, 不似其它平板,可以到 Android market 下載學習軟體
　　　　3) e-wonder pad 的網路瀏覽器進入 <文建會兒童繪本> 　
　　　　　http://children.cca.gov.tw/home.php 此類的網站,並點選 flash 的童話繪本後,
　　　　　會有當機的情形,播放時是畫面的一半,未完全顯出該動畫繪本的全畫面。

平板電腦的多功能, touch screen 和內容的成功結合運用,應會有更佳的學習效果....結合度不高的介面,反而會因其介面的不成熟,造成使用上的不方便,阻礙學習目標的達成。

少小離家從軍,部隊裏有長官訓導,三餐也定時,可心中時時有個疑問....在走過許多曲折和困頓後,回到當初沒有機會走入的世界,在這些年的教學相長和經驗歷練之後,心頭上也算是解了點疑問。

班上有一群成績好／品性佳的學生,也有單親家庭/低收入戶的,而那些父母社經地位高的,也並非是孩子是否’優秀’的決定性的條件....也有家裏有錢,家長有學歷,但小孩的心智仍停留在口腔期,玩的更兇,搗蛋的級數更猛...那些心智成熟,在校表現又好的,父母親的身教言教是他們的規矩,不須他人提醒;和師長同學的相處,不卑不亢--來自從小就在教會或是父母身旁觀察學習的結果(家庭和周遭社會組織有相當程度的正面互動).... 和他們父母接觸觀察的結果---父母相處是平和的,並無爭執吵架;收入或高或低,共同的條件是父母的心智成熟度/處事哲學皆有一套完整的架構....

自己找的書,比較有趣--閱讀 Galileo Galilei

在一連串的問與答後,找到了一張書單;單上列出的書,其中一本是 Galileo Galilei: Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems . 書名中第一個字 Dialogue ,其基本意義就是兩個人的對話,此外還有被延伸,運用在戲劇和文學作品上;這種文學形式源頭甚早就被人類所使用,最早可回溯到古希臘。也許是因為＂對話＂本身是溝通表達的第一步,它是容易讓人親近的。建構在這最基礎的表達方式上,則是伽利略這位科學家化繁為簡的精妙文筆...(未完成)

........其實,他的書,要由上下文來看的話,引人注意的是他勇於挑戰權威(由教廷所主張的天動說),以客觀証劇來建立論點.....也為後來的人建立一個好樣本。

茭白筍/菜瓜/地瓜----(經濟/健康/重點是:不用洗太多鍋碗瓢盤)

一袋地瓜 85元 三條菜瓜50元 茭白筍X 12支 120元

黃肉地瓜先丟入電鍋蒸,放涼後,放在冰箱冷涷庫,食用前拿出解凍---早餐

菜瓜,去皮切片後,炒....(不知多久/軟熟就可)...加入麵條,再煮熟---中餐

茭白筍,水煮開後,丟入,悶熟----晚餐

ps. 這比煮碗泡麵等級還要高一丁點兒。

A faraway swimming pool

小朋友和她娘說，想學游泳....這並不是什麼很大的要求;袛不過,住家方圓15公里附近,沒一座較俱規模的游泳池。若是弄一個塑膠充氣泳池，池小水淺，好像也不能教小朋友學游泳，也是浪費水。找了座有教學課程的游池，開車半個小時帶姐姐去上課；我們家大姐姐很高興，有那麼一大片水池可玩，教練也有方法來帶小朋友邊玩邊學。真希望住家附近也有管理較佳／水質也好的游池可供選擇。

外省人的二二八事件--澎湖七一三事件

匪諜，是怎樣做成的／王鼎鈞

我在一 九四九年五月踏上台灣寶島，七月，澎湖即發生「山東流亡學校煙台聯合中學匪諜」冤案，那是對我的當頭棒喝，也是對所有的外省人一個下馬威。當年中共席捲大 陸，人心浮動，蔣介石總統自稱「我無死所」，國民政府能在台灣立定腳跟，靠兩件大案殺開一條血路，一件「二二八」事件懾伏了本省人，另一件煙台聯合中學冤 案懾伏了外省人，就這個意義來說，兩案可以相提並論。

外省人的二二八事件--澎湖七一三事件

派軍隊"清鄉"向來都是軍閥整肅統治區反抗事件的工具,二二八不是台灣才有。國民黨在大陸各地各省,對反抗事件的回應,就是派軍隊下鄉"抓人"--以刀槍和人民的血淚來立威。這也是為什麼,國民黨那麼快速的失去民心,丟掉大陸。

陸一特

在高登島上,精通據點火炮槍械的是一群老兵。他們是陸軍第一特種兵。剛到島上時,是這群老兵教我熟悉島上的環境,如何操作30/50機槍來實施驅離射擊,如何善用坑道的泉水燒開水給全據點弟兄,在伸手不見五指漆墨夜色中和狗兒一起站衛兵,提防對岸的水鬼摸上來。那時島上天天都是構築工事--挖坑道,興建新的岸哨據點;構工休息時,聽到這些老兵談論退伍後要如何大展長才。台灣家鄉的父母,那等待許久的女朋友和一個自由的天空,都是支撐大伙兒向前再邁進一步的動力。"去你的主義領袖責任榮譽國家,平安退伍回家才是真的",這句話在日子難過時--在馬祖冬天刺骨寒風中,波濤波濤洶湧海灘上扛一包包沈重資材上岸時;在執行那些永無盡頭的演習中--老兵們特愛掛在嘴上。

點綴島上黃土坡地上是反空降與固守海岸線如的高大瓊麻、帶尖扎人的南國薊和不能入藥的野當歸,更多的是造林時種上的相思樹和苦楝--除了日常的衛哨訓練和運補勤務,高登島上,人人都還認養數十株樹苗。長官有令,這是特地由台灣運來造林的,可要細心照顧了。樹苗上都要掛上個小牌子,寫上名字,以示負責的。這樹苗旁還必須圍上一圈由芒草桿加鐡線編成的圈欄,因為冬天刮著有如刀割,連人都受不了的東北季風。每天傍晚將當天使用過數回,由清澈變濁黃的水,仔細的澆在每人認養的樹苗上。三五個月後,相思、苦楝慢慢長高,抬頭望眼看去,那滿山遍野,儘是對故鄉的相思和回不了家的愁苦。

那一年冬天,野當歸的白花遍地開,謠指部的傳聞也成真: 國防部來了一紙命令,要一群梯數少於陸一特,又僅服役一年十個月的同伴,立刻打包退伍回家。有人歡天喜地的,因為馬上要回家了,而那些還有半年多的陸一特,卻被要求服完三年的兵役......那幾天晚上,高登島上傳出許多自裁意外--其中一個陸一特是我認識的人--他人長的瘦瘦黑黑的中等身材,脾氣好,臉上總是有笑容,總是鼓勵著大伙兒,期待著回家的日子--那天晚上,他拿了包不曉得那來的老鼠藥,吞了下肚。全連弟兄在隔天早上聽到這消息時,每個人的臉上的表情是那種很恨又很不甘心的表情....特別是他的同梯好弟兄們....

Retro: In this dark forest

On the edge of a humble pond, there is a fireball of many fireflies.

搭上最近的流行感冒,工作告一段落,下班後想到診所拿藥,門外就看到人山人海的一群男女老少,全都在等著醫師診斷--個個流鼻水,咳呀咳的。家中二個小朋友,前陣子有打預防疫苗,身體反應還算好。診所外又有寒流要來,今年冬天,真是冷哦。

Strawberry season

The weather is getting colder and strawberries are just in season. A neighbor sent his daughter to share this news: their first harvest was ready. Joy and Lisa, our daughters, got to share their happiness and the fresh taste of this year's strawberry - not from the supermarket, but from our very own small gardens.

This tiny patch of strawberries has been a daily topic of our family talk. Our kids, especially the elder one, enjoys watching flowers coming into red strawberries. That berry from our neighbor's kept her smiling all afternoon. Soon, it will be our turn to bring fresh berries to visit our neighbors.

Retro: It's Monday morning

On this wall, there is this painting, 'Monday Morning.' In this picture, there are travelers, on saddles, beside beasts of burden, next to a well, all readying themselves for the journey ahead. In the background is a murky blend of dimly-lit sky, fading stars and a vast dessert. Although everything seems hazy and unsure, there is something inexplicable shinning in the faces of these travelers, something all living needs, besides a map and a prayer, to carry out a day's pursuit. It's Monday morning, and it's time to begin. (Dec 17 2000)

This little charity drive

It is the day before Christmas, and students in the classroom respond to that charity call inside their textbook, Unit 02, The Chain of Love. Each of them not only has learned a touching lesson, but also decided to give their best wishes to help those in need. So happy to see kids share with others; after all, it is the spirit of Christmas.
